Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer in Ontario, Canada to lead design of steel and concrete structures for transit and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on mentoring engineers, coordinating with BIM teams and clients, and delivering calculation packages and specifications.

You will work within Parsons' Critical Infrastructure team, applying CSA and AREMA standards, with opportunities for growth and meaningful impact on communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of related work experience and PE registration required.
• Experience producing structural drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design structural steel structures for buildings using SAP2000 per CSA S-16-19.
• Design reinforced concrete structures with SAFE/ETABS per CSA A23.3-19.
• Verify designs with hand calculations per CSA codes.
• Prepare structural calculation packages and specifications.
• Coordinate with BIM teams, clients and construction managers.
• Perform site visits and issue site reports.
• Contribute to proposal writing and QA for the structural discipline.
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
