Job summary

A major North American transit authority is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead design efforts and ensure the integrity of transit structures. You will work closely with teams to assess and improve existing assets, guiding strategic engineering decisions. The ideal candidate has a degree in civil or structural engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario. As part of the role, you will foster collaborative relationships and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the transit infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario with a degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Extensive experience in structural design and maintenance.
• Deep knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design work and review designs for safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Support maintenance and renewal of infrastructure for long-term reliability.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to integrate real-world considerations into designs.
