Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Canadian Mine Infrastructure team. You will lead electrical design for mining and industrial projects, including distribution networks, substations, MCCs, and control systems, ensuring safety and compliance.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and abroad, mentor junior engineers, review specifications, and support project delivery from concept through construction, while maintaining strong client relations and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering and design experience in heavy industry.
• Registered Professional Engineer in BC or eligible for BC registration.
• Experience producing P&IDs, single line diagrams, control network diagrams, and drawings.
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering tasks across project phases.
• Design and review electrical and control system drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and process teams.
• Liaise with clients to understand operational needs and deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and support project delivery and quality.
