Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team. Lead design and analysis on mining and heavy industrial infrastructure across North America, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes technical growth, mentorship, and delivering high-quality solutions while working within a hybrid work model with office presence in Markham.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural.
• Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural is preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer in at least one province with 12 to 15 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on industrial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and Health & Safety rules.
• Perform structural design and analysis for heavy industrial mining and energy structures.
• Develop designs through sketches, hand calculations, and structural analysis software.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on fit-for-purpose designs.
• Interface with other disciplines and project management to execute projects.
• Coach and mentor EITs and designers for professional development.
• Coordinate project specifications and construction documents.
