Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario or eligibility for immediate registration with PEO.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in buildings.
• Experience in new building design, existing building assessments, rehabilitations, and renovations.
• Strong knowledge of OBC, NBCC, and CSA structural design standards.
• Proficiency with ETABS and SAFE; experience with SAP2000, RAM, RISA or similar.
• Experience with REVIT and Bluebeam; ability to coordinate with architects and contractors.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design of projects from concept to construction.
• Oversee delivery of work by junior engineers and staff to meet standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs.
• Support proposals, planning, budgeting, and resource management.
• Design structural systems for new buildings using concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
• Perform seismic assessments and analyses per codes.
• Coordinate drawings with architects, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specs, and construction documents.
• Participate in site visits and construction support.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical leadership.
• Conduct evaluations and condition assessments of existing buildings.
