Job summary

Husky TechnologiesTM is seeking a Stretch Blow Molding Specialist to join our Advanced Solutioning team in Bolton, Ontario. You will work with process, application, melt delivery and technology teams to advance packaging solutions and sustainability.

You will translate customer needs into valuable solutions, and collaborate across cross-functional teams on research, experiments and product validation. A strong background in blow molding and polymers is required, with travel to customer sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Polymer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5–10+ years of experience in stretch blow molding or plastics processing.
• Understanding of stretch blow molding concepts, materials, processing and rheology.
• Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify relationships between application, injection molding process, PET/rPET properties, reheating and stretch blow molding.
• Execute experimental projects to evaluate and improve processing methods, technologies, and control strategies.
• Collaborate with business development teams and customers to understand technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Plan and execute technical investigations, development activities and trials, and document findings and recommendations.
• Travel to customers for line trials.
