Job summary

Husky Technologies is seeking a Software Validation Technologist in Bolton, Ontario. You will create, deploy and manage software testing plans and schedules, working with the Innovation and Sustainability Team to bring testing results into design.

The role supports development of application guidelines, tests new products at customer sites, and collaborates with internal teams. BS in Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years’ experience required; willing to travel; competitive

Qualifications

• Experience testing and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Familiar with PLC programming and software validation.

Responsibilities

• Test preparation: creating test plans and building testing systems.
• Develop validation strategy based on risks and product claims.
• Implement software validation test plans and scripts.
• Log defects in Husky tracking system and verify fixes.
• Prepare validation criteria and evaluate results against requirements.
• Lead improvements to validation procedures and processes.
• Maintain complete validation records and reporting.
• Assist with customer-site testing and service projects.

Hourly: $38-$45 per hour

JOB PURPOSE

Plan, Execute, Analyze, Lead.

The Software validation Technologist plays a critical role by working within the Innovation and Sustainability Team, helping to bring physical testing results to component and system designs. This person will create, deploy, and manage Software testing and validation plans and project schedules both at the component level and at the system level. This person is also a support with the development of application guidelines for products and resins and will be a support in testing new products and technologies at customer sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test preparation: Creating test plans, building systems for testing
• Participate in project design reviews and risk assessments and develop testing and validation strategy based on risks and product claims
• Implement software validation engineering test plans, cases plus scripts.
• Evaluate and verify some issues discovered, log probable software bugs in Husky tracking database.
• Prepare validation plus acceptance criteria and evaluate test results to assure software attains requirements and parameters.
• Identify gaps, suggest solutions and lead enhancement to software validation procedures, processes and practices.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of software validation records.
• Test execution: Installing systems for testing, performing specific tests per the plan
• Results analysis – critical review of testing results including data analyses to support testing conclusions
• Process data collection and analysis, part inspection plan and data analysis
• Reporting results and conclusions both in formally documented reports and effective presentations
• Service support – assist in the resolution of significant service projects
• Think as voice of customer in validation process.
• Refine internal product knowledge based on performance/results outside of the Husky testing labs

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION BS in Electrical , Software or Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting of complex
• 2+ mechanical systems years of experience working in project teams,
• 2+ with both external and internal customers years experiences with
• 2+ mechanical, electrical, hydraulic system with data acquisition
• 2+ systems years experiences with PLC programing IEC 61131-3 language
• Experience with C# compliant languages such as C, Java, and Python -Experience with Modbus , Ethernet, EtherCAT
• Experience with .Net Software components""
