Job summary

TD Direct Investing, a unit of TD Bank Group, is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Strategy and Competitive Intelligence team in Toronto. You will build financial models, assess competitive developments, and evaluate growth opportunities to inform product, pricing, and investment decisions.

The role emphasizes strong Excel modelling, data analysis, and the ability to translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

Qualifications

Post-secondary undergraduate degree in business or finance.
3+ years of analytical experience with financial analysis or related roles (strategy, consulting, finance, investment banking).
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, including building business cases and scenario analyses.
Strong PowerPoint skills for executive presentations; clear written and verbal communication.
Experience with data querying/visualization tools (SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau).

Responsibilities

Build the business case for next steps in self-directed investing.
Develop financial models and assess growth opportunities for DI.
Help senior leaders weigh investment priorities and decisions.
Create and maintain financial models for strategic initiatives and pricing decisions.
Conduct scenario analyses to assess risks and trade-offs; translate results into recommendations.
Collaborate with finance and analytics to validate inputs and document methodologies.
Translate analyses into concise business documents and executive presentations.
Support a collaborative, fast-paced environment across teams.
