Job summary

Rogers Calgary is seeking a Sr Platform Specialist to focus on Storage environments (NetApp) and virtualization (VMware, vSAN, VCF, NSX) across Cisco, HP, IBM, Lenovo platforms. You will support the backup landscape (NetBackup, Commvault) and contribute to the Platform Services team.

You will deliver patch management, security agent rollout, and 3rd tier incident support while improving reporting via vRealize and ensuring compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering patch management and related security agents for infrastructure assets.
• Ability to report on analytics, capacity and performance of virtualization environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patch management and related security agents to all infrastructure assets.
• Report on analytics, capacity and performance of the virtualization environment as requested by leadership.
• Participate in triage and root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement a PMP for career development.
• Provide 3rd tier support to Server Operations for incidents across infrastructure platforms.
• Contribute to Vulnerability Management program.
• Create and maintain documentation for patching and hardware deployment.
• Build reporting in vRealize and ensure compliance reporting for agents/patches.
• Act as escalation point for infrastructure and integration issues.
• Support ITSM processes across the environment.
