Collective Arts is searching for a detailoriented and resultsdriven Senior Staff Accountant to support our Finance team. This role will be based out of our Hamilton location and offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic entrepreneurial and rapidly growing company. Reporting directly to the Manager Financial Reporting this role will focus on financial reporting reconciliations and assisting with special projects. You will also play a key role in supporting the finance team through the monthend close and annual reporting cycles.

Hybrid Work Schedule

• Monday Tuesday and Friday work from home
• Wednesday and Thursday work from the Brewery

A typical day as a Senior Staff Accountant will include

• Supporting the monthend and yearend close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Preparing and / or reviewing journal entries & account reconciliations
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Helping maintain and improve accounting policies and internal controls
• Participating in financial reporting projects such as audits budgets and implementation of new accounting standards
• Collaborating with crossfunctional teams including Supply Chain Sales and Innovation to align financial reporting with business strategies
• Providing support and insight to enhance the teams overall effectiveness and capabilities

How your time will be organized :

• MonthEnd and YearEnd Close (40%) : Supporting the timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual financial closes including journal entries reconciliations and reporting.
• Account Reconciliations & Analysis (35%) : Performing detailed reconciliations of key accounts such as AP AR inventory and fixed assets and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting & Statement Preparation (15%) : Assisting with the preparation of internal financial reports and supporting the development of external financial statements and audit materials.
• CrossFunctional Collaboration & Ad Hoc Projects (10%) : Working with other departments to create budgets track spend and support various financial initiatives and special projects as needed.

Were looking for candidates who have / are :

• Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field. A specialization in Accounting is preferred.
• A CPA designation nearcompletion or advanced student standing
• 24 years of fullcycle accounting and audit experience
• Strong technical skills particularly in the use of MS Office and Excel (intermediate / advanced)
• Ability to prepare journal entries and perform complex account reconciliations
• Exposure to cost and management accounting
• Detailoriented with strong data entry skills and a good mathematical aptitude
• Selfstarter with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
• Have worked in a scaling startup or growing smallbusiness environment
• Have knowledge of the Brewing / Manufacturing Industry
• Love talking about beer and interacting with people
