Job Title: Staff Accountant, Assurance and Advisory.

Remote (Candidate needs to be located in Ontario)

Full-time, Permanent.

Our client, a public accounting firm is looking for a Senior Accountant, Assurance and Advisory.

Main responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and relevant supporting schedules.
• Providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
• Completing procedures for general accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, statistical and account analysis, inventory observations, and depreciation schedule updates.
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns.
• Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Managing multiple client requests efficiently and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Public accounting experience is a must.
• Experience with Audit and Assurance is a must.
• CPA Designation or minimally CFE completion.
• Travel to Northern Canada required for this role.
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines.
• Experienced with MS Office, CaseWare and tax return software.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.
