Job summary

Vena is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Developer to join the SaaS Technology and Operations team. The role focuses on building scalable, fault-tolerant systems across AWS and Azure, with a strong emphasis on automation and runbook development.

You will lead projects within the STO team, maintain live services with proactive monitoring and latency optimization, and mentor other SREs while collaborating with product and technology groups to advance design patterns and operational practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a Site Reliability Engineer role.
• Associate or Professional AWS/Azure certification.
• Strong knowledge of SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Experience with IaC and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Ability to write production-grade code in any language.
• Experience with cloud platforms and large-scale distributed systems.
• Telemetry and observability using CloudWatch/Observe Inc/Prometheus.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, fault-tolerant services with automation.
• Lead STO delivery projects and define runbooks.
• Maintain services with monitoring of availability and latency.
• Mentor SREs and drive knowledge transfer.
• Drive incident response and automated remediation.
• Participate in interviews and on-call rotation.
