Job summary

Vena Solutions seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our SaaS Technology and Operations team, building scalable, resilient services across AWS and Azure. Preference for GTA-based candidates who can visit the Toronto office about two days a month, with hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer role.
• Associate or Professional level certification from AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and IaC/orchestration tools.
• Ability to write code and demonstrate production experience.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with telemetry and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Help build scalable systems using automation and self-service.
• Provide design consulting, develop platforms and frameworks.
• Define runbooks and SOPs.
• Own and lead STO projects.
• Monitor service health, latency and availability.
• Mentor other SREs and share knowledge.
• Drive incident response standards with automated remediation.
• Participate in shaping STO team culture.
• Act as subject-matter expert on technologies used by the platform.
• Participate in technical interviews and on-call rotation.
