Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sports Event Coordinator to join our Kimberley team. You will lead end-to-end event planning, manage budgets, coordinate venues, vendors, sponsors and federations, and supervise staff and volunteers to deliver premier sports experiences.

The role demands at least five years in event coordination, strong organization, communication, and proficiency with event management software and MS Office. A Bachelor’s degree in Event or Sports Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event coordination, preferably within sports.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
• Experience with budget management, vendor negotiation, and logistical planning.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all logistical aspects of assigned sports events, ensuring timely execution.
• Liaise with event stakeholders, including venues, vendors, sponsors, and sports federations.
• Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor adherence.
• Oversee on-site event operations, including setup, participant registration, and day-of activities.
• Manage event staff, volunteers, and external contractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct post-event analysis, including financial reconciliation and performance reporting.
