Job description

At Lifebit, we're driven by the mission to make complex data analysis simpler and more accessible. We empower key institutions worldwide to revolutionize their data utilization and technology integration. Lifebit is powering the world’s federated data platforms for population-scale health and life sciences. Our Federated AI Platform is trusted across federal health agencies, national health systems, and global pharma to unlock sensitive biomedical and real‑world data securely, compliantly, and at scale. We are rapidly expanding our presence in the North America health market and building a local team to support programs across the various federal agencies. Join us if you're inspired to tackle meaningful challenges.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lifebit’s growing North America team. This is a hybrid technical and customer‑facing role, bridging sales, solution engineering, and customer success. We are looking for a Solutions Manager with experience in one or more of the following specialties: Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, Cloud Infrastructure, Real‑World Data and/or Genomic Medicine. The ideal candidate understands real‑world data (RWD), harmonization, and privacy‑preserving linkage — and can translate complex technical capabilities into value for federal stakeholders and researchers. In addition, you enjoy working hands‑on with Lifebit's commercial team, scientists, software engineers, and clients to solve challenges in the world of Genomics and Precision Medicine.

You will support federal business development efforts with technical credibility in meetings, demos, and proposals. Acting as the technical solutions lead for prospective and current customers (e.g., DHA, NIH/NIA, CMS‑linked studies) you will ensure customer success post‑sale by guiding deployment, adoption, and integration of Lifebit’s Federated AI Platform.

Based in Canada, you’ll work closely with prospective and current clients, showcasing the capabilities of Lifebit’s platform through tailored demonstrations and technical selling. This position is integral to enabling customer success by aligning Lifebit’s solutions with clients’ technical needs and business goals.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Partner with Sales and Federal Programs leadership to position Lifebit’s platform in capture and proposal activities.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution workshops to Canadian health agencies.
  • Translate RFI/RFP requirements into clear solution architectures aligned to Lifebit’s product capabilities.
Solution Delivery & Customer Success
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers post‑sale, ensuring seamless onboarding and adoption.
  • Guide deployments around data ingestion, harmonization (OMOP, HL7 FHIR, CDISC), and Privacy‑Preserving Record Linkage (PPRL).
  • Work with customer admins and researchers to configure federated access, metadata cataloging, and TRE (Trusted Research Environment) capabilities.
  • Experience in working with a variety of data sources from Claims, third‑party EHR and CMS.
  • Act as a bridge between customers, sales, and product engineering — feeding back federal‑specific requirements.
  • Train and enable end‑users (researchers, analysts, clinicians) across no‑code, low‑code, and high‑code personas.
  • Contribute technical expertise to proposals, whitepapers, and federal solution documents.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Education: MSc in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a closely related advanced technical field.
  • 3–5+ years in a technical solutions, solutions engineering, or customer success role (ideally in federal health / life sciences).
  • Strong understanding of real‑world data (RWD): claims, EHR, genomics, imaging, unstructured data.
  • Experience with data harmonization and interoperability standards (OMOP, HL7 FHIR, CDISC, Sentinel CDM).
  • Experience with scripting or analytical tools (Python, SQL, RStudio, or Jupyter) and workflow language (Nextflow, Snakemake or WDL)
  • Familiarity with federated architectures and PPRL/linkage technologies (e.g., Datavant).
  • Comfort engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders in NIH, DHA, or comparable agencies.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and proposal support skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Canadian health RFPs, proposals, or capture efforts.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, HIPAA, NIST 800‑53, FISMA Moderate requirements.
  • Hands‑on with research/analytics tools (RStudio, Jupyter, SQL, Python) and cloud (AWS GovCloud / Azure Government).
  • Background in biomedical informatics, data engineering, or public health research.
