Job summary

A global leader in fund services is seeking a Senior Solutions Analyst to join their Intelligent Automation team in Halifax, Canada. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement automated solutions, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working as a business analyst in an agile environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to gather functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and gather functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Understanding of Business Process Management, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation.
  • Create and execute test plans in Dev/QA/UAT environments.
  • Design, evaluate, and monitor key metrics with business teams.
  • Familiar with prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Awareness of fund administration and financial product knowledge.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes for potential transformation and automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business SMEs and technical teams to evaluate solution feasibility.
  • Manage all project life cycle phases from scoping and solution development to implementation.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and low-fidelity prototypes to visualize requirements.
  • Manage all project lifecycle phases from scoping to implementation.
  • Lead scrum activities including stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprints, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain and groom the product backlog with clear priorities.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Establish best practices, templates, and governance for PoC and delivery.
  • Roll out completed solutions with Process Owners and Business Leads.
  • Create newsletters/marketing material highlighting team achievements and milestones.
  • Occasionally perform weekend testing for releases (1–2 per quarter).

About The Team & Business Line

Intelligent Automation (IA) is a multidisciplinary team within the Transformation Office (TO), tasked with identifying, developing, and deploying automated solutions by leveraging a variety of emerging technologies. These technologies encompass Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, Test Automation, Business Process Management, APIs, and Cloud Services.

Responsibilities

Your Role: As a Senior Solutions Analyst within the Intelligent Automation (IA) team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement automated solutions for the Citco Group. You will work closely with process owners and business unit representatives to streamline and digitize operational processes, aiming to achieve efficiency and cost savings for Citco.

  • Evaluate business processes for potential transformation and automation opportunities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with business SMEs and technical teams to evaluate solution feasibility
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and low‑fidelity prototypes to visualize business requirements and workflows
  • Manage all project life cycle phases, from scoping and solution development to implementation
  • Organize and facilitate scrum activities, including stand‑ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Maintain and groom the product backlog to ensure priorities are clearly defined
  • Prepare and present project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Establish best practices, templates, and governance guidelines for PoC and solution delivery
  • Work with Process Owners and Business Leads to roll out completed solutions
  • Create and distribute newsletters/marketing material highlighting team achievements, innovations, and project milestones
  • Occasionally perform weekend testing for releases, typically one or two per quarter

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working as a business analyst in an agile environment, preferably to deliver software/automation solutions
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to gather functional/non‑functional requirements and translate user requests to technical specifications
  • Understanding of the benefits of Business Process Management, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation
  • Create and execute test plans in Dev/QA/UAT Environments
  • Design, evaluate, and monitor key metrics with business teams
  • Assets:
    • Advanced MS Excel Skills
    • Familiar with Visio and Draw.io
    • Familiar with Database Systems (SQL/NoSQL)
    • Experience working with prototyping tools such as Figma
    • Financial product knowledge and knowledge of Fund Administration
    • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
    • Certification on Business Analysis/Scrum Master
