Who We Arethe company Sponsored Display (WSD) and the company Sponsored Shops (WSS) are native pay-per-click advertising programs available across the company US, the company CA and the company Professional that empower suppliers to boost the exposure of their products through targeted, high-performing display ad experiences.
The Display and Sponsored Shops Engineering team is responsible for presenting the company Sponsored Display, the company Sponsored Shops and Video Ads across the company’s storefront web and mobile application, utilizing marketing campaigns provided by the company suppliers. Our work spans the full ad-delivery lifecycle: evaluating eligible products based on context, running an auction process to determine an optimal ad delivery for given placement, while ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
We build and operate these capabilities using a modern technology stack on the Google Cloud Platform, including GraphQL, Apollo Federation, React and Java-based microservices deployed on GKE using the Spring Boot framework. We're also expanding our presence across additional storefronts and the company brands.
We are looking for outstanding candidates for the role of Software Development Manager. The ideal candidate has led teams that solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward, scalable, and performant solutions, applying appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices. You will also have a focus on the customer experience, great teamwork and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
You will lead an Agile team at our development center in Toronto, Canada that drives the business, technology, and operations of the Display Footprint team along with Decisioning and Auction Systems. This system is responsible for choosing the right ads to show to the right audience based on the placements in Storefront. You will oversee all stages of the process, from conceptualization and business analysis to technical design and software development, utilizing a range of technologies.
