Symend, a Calgary-based fintech, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement scalable software that aligns with client needs and business goals. You will drive technical innovation and ensure systems are reliable, maintainable and secure.

You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, collaborate with Architects, Product and Delivery, and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering software.
• FinTech experience beneficial.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed services.
• Ability to oversee technical projects and drive them to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives and provide engineering mentorship.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product and Delivery to ensure scalable solutions.
• Identify and solve complex technical problems with best-practice approaches.
