Job summary

Bentley Systems’ Seequent team in Toronto seeks a Senior Software Developer for Subsurface Information Management. You’ll design and release high-performance platform services and APIs for analytics, data science, BI, and AI workflows on geoscience data.

You will lead software architecture, collaborate across functions, manage releases, and mentor team members in a hybrid Toronto setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years in relevant software development roles.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data solutions and diverse storage.
• Proficient in SQL, Python and JSON.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containers.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Strong communication, autonomy, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design complex software, components, and web services.
• Develop, test, and publish scalable APIs for geoscience data.
• Plan releases, coordinate across teams, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance, review others' work, and mentor teammates.
