Optro in Canada is seeking a senior software engineer to lead large, strategic projects and mentor other engineers. You will design scalable systems, implement back-end APIs in Python and Node.js, and contribute to front-end work with React, Vue, or Ember.

The role requires extensive experience across full software development lifecycle, strong communication, and a product-minded approach. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing web based applications.
• Experience guiding high quality work through delivery across multiple developers.
• Experience with a web framework such as Django or Rails.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Ember, Angular, etc.)
• Experience writing REST / JSON APIs (Swagger / OpenAPI Spec).
• Experience writing software tests.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently.
