Job summary

Optro seeks a Senior Compensation Manager to lead and scale our global compensation programs across markets. You will partner with People, Finance, and executive leadership to ensure pay reflects high-performance culture and supports rapid growth.

You will own design and execution of compensation programs, including annual planning, job architecture, bonus design, equity planning, and governance across regions. This role drives insights and aligns compensation with business goals.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Total Rewards/Compensation
  • Proven experience scaling a global company
  • Experience in fast-growing global SaaS/tech environments preferred
  • Workday Compensation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive development of Optro’s global compensation strategy and pay structures
  • Use AI tools to generate insights for leadership and guide decisions
  • Lead the evolution of pay bands, job families, and total rewards frameworks
  • Conduct global market benchmarking and analyses using industry surveys
  • Align compensation structures with business goals and financial models
  • Advise People Business Partners on complex compensation decisions
  • Oversee end-to-end administration of merit, bonus, and equity planning
  • Drive compensation analytics, dashboards, and pay equity monitoring
  • Lead design, implementation, and governance of LTIP and short-term incentives

As our Senior Compensation Manager you are a multiplier- with responsibility for leading and scaling our global compensation programs, enabling our managers, and helping our employees grow. You will be responsible for owning, designing and delivering competitive, equitable, and innovative compensation programs that meet employees where they are today and build a strong foundation for tomorrow. In this role you will own the design and execution of our compensation programs, including the annual compensation planning cycle, evolution of our job architecture, bonus plan design and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the development, execution, and expansion of Optro’s global compensation strategy and localized pay structures, ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with international growth.

  • Champion and leverage AI tools driving insights and predictive analytics to advise leadership, empower managers, and guide decision making.

  • Lead the development, the evolution, and scaling of Optro’s global pay structures, job families, localized pay bands, and total rewards frameworks, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity, that support a high-performance culture.

  • Conduct ongoing global market benchmarking and compensation analyses utilizing industry surveys and external data to track market trends.

  • Partner with People leaders, Finance, and executive leadership to align compensation structures and incentive plans with evolving business goals and financial models.

  • Primary advisor and subject matter expert for People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on complex compensation requests, including job pricing, competitive external offers, promotions, and out-of-cycle adjustments.

  • Oversee the end-to-end administration of compensation cycles (merit, bonus, and equity planning), optimizing HRIS resources to drive seamless execution and global communications.

  • Drive compensation analytics, reporting, and dashboard creation to evaluate pay equity, monitor workforce trends, and provide leadership with actionable data for decision-making.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of short-term incentive plans, long-term incentives (LTIP), and specialized recognition/retention levers, including budget tracking and compliance.

  • Ensure global compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations (including pay transparency laws); proactively educate internal teams and manage external vendor relationships as required.

  • Develop and deliver enablement training, documentation, and coaching to managers and leadership on Optro’s compensation philosophy and policies.

Attributes for a Successful Candidate
  • 10+ years in Total Rewards/Compensation

  • Proven experience scaling a global company

  • Experience working within a fast-growing global SaaS or tech company is strongly preferred

  • Workday Compensation experience is strongly preferred

  • Ability to challenge senior leaders on compensation decisions that don’t align with high-performance philosophies
