Job summary

REALIGN LLC in Toronto, ON, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and support secure file transfer solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway, Global Mailbox, Connect and Control Center. The role focuses on enterprise banking integrations and secure data exchange.

You will implement encryption standards, manage onboarding of partners, and collaborate with security, operations and infrastructure teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on IBM Sterling File Gateway experience.
• Strong experience with IBM Global Mailbox, Connect, and Control Center.
• Expertise in SFG routing rules, code lists, business processes, and partner management.
• Strong SSL/TLS, PGP encryption, PKI, and secure key management knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway, Global Mailbox, and Connect.
• Configure SFG routing rules, code lists, business processes, partner profiles, and file transfer workflows.
• Support secure file exchanges for ACH, EFT, wire payments, treasury, and cash management.
• Onboard internal and external partners including certificates, encryption keys, protocols, and connectivity testing.
• Troubleshoot file transfer failures, routing issues, duplicate processing, and partner connectivity.
• Perform application maintenance, upgrades, patching, and environment health checks.
• Monitor platform performance and availability using IBM Control Center and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with business, operations, infrastructure, security, and application teams.
• Participate in production support, incident management, RCA, and recovery activities.
• Create technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

Job Description

We are seeking a Full Time Senior Software Engineer (IBM SFG) with strong hands‑on experience in IBM Sterling File Gateway, Global Mailbox, Connect, and Control Center. The ideal candidate will design, develop, support, and maintain secure file transfer solutions for enterprise banking and financial services environments

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway, Global Mailbox, and Connect
• Configure SFG routing rules, code lists, business processes, partner profiles, and file transfer workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting highly available and disaster recovery Sterling environments
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 and payment messaging standards
