Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack software development with back-end focus.
• Experience with TypeScript and other languages is valued.
• Deep PostgreSQL experience and direct SQL work.
• Experience with asynchronous workflows and reliable retries.
• Experience building financial accuracy systems (ledgers/payments).
• Proven ownership of significant decisions with business impact.
• Ability to explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working autonomously in a small, regulated team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural direction and platform foundation.
• Work across checkout, merchant portal, risk and underwriting, APIs.
• Design modular systems with clear contracts and boundaries.
• Ensure correctness in financial transactions with robust recovery.
• Build and maintain third-party integrations with processors and banking infra.
• Own production operations including incident response and reliability.
• Develop compliance capabilities such as audit trails and access controls.
• Deliver from architecture through deployment in six-week cycles.
• Participate in rotations to reduce tech debt and improve quality.
