Job summary

Peoples Group in Canada seeks a Sales Engineer to partner with clients on payments strategy, RTR readiness, and migration planning. You will translate complex payment concepts into secure, scalable solutions and collaborate across Sales, Product, Compliance, and Operations.

The role is hybrid across our offices (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary) with regular business hours and opportunities to shape modern payment ecosystems while supporting client onboarding and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a client-facing technical role within Payments/Fintech/Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of payment rails and ecosystems including EFT/ACH, wire, Interac, real-time payments.
• Experience translating complex concepts into business language for varied audiences.
• Experience creating technical diagrams and end-to-end payment flow documents.
• Ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Technology, Compliance, Operations, and client teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand requirements and design end-to-end payment solutions.
• Architect current and future state fund flows and recommend rails and products.
• Support RTR readiness and migration initiatives.
• Develop migration strategies and client roadmaps from legacy to modern rails.
• Support sales conversations with technical context and implementation approaches.
• Define scalable go-forward payment solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot integration and transaction issues across APIs and networks in sandbox.
• Serve as primary technical contact throughout onboarding and migration.
