Job summary

Mecka AI in Toronto builds data systems for robotics and embodied AI. You will own the software that powers connected hardware, APIs, SDKs, and data workflows used by device teams and customers.

You'll design reliable services, ensure data integrity, and implement telemetry and tooling to help engineers diagnose and improve system behavior across distributed workflows. You will collaborate across teams and evolve the platform with resilience in mind.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend programming in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Design APIs, data schemas, and databases with SQL knowledge.
• Experience operating production services and ensuring reliability.
• Understanding of distributed systems, retries, and intermittent connectivity.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, testing, versioning, and release practices.

Responsibilities

• Own service and API design for connected hardware and data-intensive workflows.
• Keep data accurate and production services reliable across device and customer workflows.
• Build telemetry, diagnostics, and operational tools for engineers.
• Develop APIs, SDKs, and CLI tools for ecosystem integration.
• Test end-to-end user workflows and maintain backward compatibility.
