Job summary

Mecka AI in Canada is seeking a senior CV/ML engineer to bring advanced computer vision to robotics hardware. You will train models, run them on embedded devices, and ensure latency and power targets are met.

You will develop efficient C++ inference pipelines, optimize runtimes, and contribute to architecture decisions for a lead role or lead projects, with emphasis on evaluation standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and C++ programming, with debugging and performance profiling.
• Experience training and evaluating computer-vision models (PyTorch).
• Experience on embedded Linux and deploying models on resource-constrained hardware.
• Understanding quantization and inference optimization.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate computer-vision models for deployment on embedded devices.
• Build efficient C++ inference pipelines and integrate with embedded Linux software.
• Optimize models and runtime for latency, memory, power consumption, and sustained operation.
• Test performance on representative data and hardware; investigate errors across preprocessing, inference, and integration.
• For the lead position: set architecture and evaluation standards while continuing to develop models and software.
