Job summary

Rayner Construction Services is seeking a Site Supervisor / Superintendent in Alberta to lead on-site construction activities, coordinate trades, and ensure schedule adherence across multiple projects. The role requires strong communication, budgeting support, and safety program oversight.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supervision within commercial construction, holds a Journeyman certificate or related credential, and can travel up to 50% of the time mainly within Alberta.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Valid Journeyman trade certificate or related credential (e.g., civil engineering tech diploma).
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time across Alberta.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all on-site daily construction activities and report to Project Manager & Sr. Management.
• Prepare and maintain construction schedules, order materials, and schedule trades & vendors as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders & trade partners.
• Read and accurately interpret blue prints for detail and constructability.
• Assist Project Manager with budgeting and change management.
• Ensure implementation and monitoring of safety programs on an ongoing basis.
