Are you passionate about leveraging your extensive technical expertise to drive a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team using industry best practices within a world-class company?

Thomson Reuters' ONESOURCE Platform's Site Reliability team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to provide hands-on technical mentorship to team members on core SRE principles and tools.

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will engage in the end-to-end operational aspects of ONESOURCE Platform Applications by collaborating closely with Architects, DevOps, Product, and Development teams to optimize software performance on the AWS platform.

In this opportunity as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and Deliver:Apply modern Site Reliability operational and development practices, engaging in full operational support, monitoring, automation, building, testing, and delivering high-quality solutions for the SRE team.

  • Be a Team Player:Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, sharing information, valuing diverse ideas, and partnering with cross-functional and remote teams.

  • Be an Agile Person:Operate with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver solutions against strict timelines.

  • Be Innovative:Empowered to explore new approaches and technologies, contribute innovative ideas, create solutions, and be accountable for end-to-end deliveries.

  • Be an Effective Communicator:Engage actively and communicate with cross-functional partners and team members to effectively articulate ideas and collaborate on technical developments.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer if you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, and at least one AWS Certification (AWS SysOps Admin preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps engineer on the AWS Cloud platform.

  • Demonstrated high proficiency in automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications.

  • Experience in at least one or more programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.).

  • Experience performing periodic on-call duty as part of the Site Reliability team on a rotational basis.

  • Experience with SQL, Windows, Linux servers, AWS services, and networking concepts.

  • Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, and Datadog.
