Cohere, a leading security-first enterprise AI company, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead security operations across CI/CD and cloud-native environments. You will integrate security into the software development lifecycle and partner with product and development teams to ship secure software without sacrificing speed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Application/Product Security or Security Operations.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, network security, cloud security concepts.
• Able to make informed decisions with little data.
• Flexible and constructive approach to solving problems.
• Hands-on security engineer focusing on automating controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to leadership and partner teams by articulating security risks clearly.
• Lead security operation functions – vulnerability management, SAST, DAST, detection engineering, and incident response – in CI/CD and cloud-native environments.
• Integrate security into applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure secure software while maintaining agility.
• Drive and support bug bounty programs, application security reviews and threat modeling, including code review and dynamic testing.
• Assess and integrate security tools to automate and scale security processes, evaluating open-source vs vendor solutions.
• Gather and analyze security metrics to address issues with cross-team dependencies.
• Be a problem solver empathetic to developer concerns and build innovative solutions.
