Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Security based in Canada. You will strengthen cloud-native security across containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud infra, designing hardened images and automating controls.

You will lead vulnerability remediation, contribute to AI/ML security initiatives, and collaborate with engineering and security teams to mature secure development practices in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on container security experience and hardening images.
• Strong Kubernetes, workload protection, runtime security, and network policy knowledge.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform for security controls.
• Proficient in Go and/or Python for automation.
• Familiar with GitHub Actions/Jenkins CI/CD architectures and security practices.
• Knowledge of SCA and remediation of third-party vulnerabilities.
• Exposure to AI/ML/LLM-based security approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain hardened container base images for dev and prod.
• Secure Kubernetes clusters and container workloads including runtime security and policies.
• Secure CI/CD tools, IaC templates, and dependencies across the supply chain.
• Develop security automation tools and scripts for operations.
• Identify and triage vulnerabilities from SAST/DAST/SCA reviews.
• Lead remediation priorities with engineering teams.
• Contribute to AI-driven security initiatives and automated alert grouping.
• Promote secure development practices across teams.
