Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will address complex features beyond UI automation, including maps, geospatial data, and dynamic visualizations, and will own testing initiatives from design through release.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Development and Test Automation.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Extensive hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured or Supertest.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience with Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Ability to work independently and own testing initiatives end-to-end.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
• Create and execute automated tests for backend services and REST APIs.
• Design strategies for complex features including non-traditional UI components.
• Validate cloud-native apps deployed on AWS and ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve issues with teams.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for high-quality releases.
