Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Compute Team. You will lead test framework architecture and build continuous execution pipelines for cloud platform features, while mentoring engineers and shaping the automated quality roadmap.

You will apply deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Python/Pytest, cloud-native technologies, networking, and Linux systems, ensuring high availability and secure delivery across the Akamai platform.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in software development/testing.
• Experience building test frameworks using Python/Pytest.
• Deep experience testing high availability, fault-tolerant Kubernetes services, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, Linux systems, and CD/CI tools.
• Understanding of basic security principles and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading test framework architecture and building continuous execution pipelines for cloud platform features.
• Shaping the automated quality engineering roadmap with developers and product stakeholders.
• Establishing test automation standards, sharing testing domain knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Partnering with engineering leadership to improve continuous delivery stability and release confidence.
