Job summary

RBC in Montréal seeks a Senior SDET to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for banking applications. You will drive CI/CD integration, collaborate on testing strategies across business analysts and product owners, and leverage AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years as an SDET.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Vue, Angular, Node and Oracle and SQL.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright and Cucumber for test automation.
• Experience testing banking applications and understanding banking workflows and regulatory requirements.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman or SOAPUI; API development and integration.
• Understanding of deep learning fundamentals, RAG and LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for banking applications.
• Apply knowledge of banking operations and compliance to design risk-aware test strategies.
• Design and implement robust, scalable test automation leveraging AI tools and emerging tech.
• Develop automated test scripts for functional and regression testing of banking apps.
• Define automation scope, oversee end-to-end delivery, and manage framework infrastructure.
• Leverage AI/ML for test data generation, anomaly detection, and intelligent test creation.
• Champion end-to-end quality by identifying risks, creating test plans, and executing tests.
• Perform test data analysis, creation, and conditioning.
• Monitor and report test coverage, defect metrics, and overall quality.
