Job summary

Alithya Montreal is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead agile teams, ensuring Scrum practices, and removing impediments to achieve the roadmap. You will coach teams, facilitate events, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.

You will partner with the Product Owner, coordinate across multiple teams, and promote continuous improvement while leveraging Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira and Advanced Roadmaps to drive delivery.

Qualifications

• Certifications in Scrum or related Agile frameworks.
• Minimum 5 years in technology, with at least 3 years as Scrum Master.
• Proven experience managing multiple teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale programs with integrated planning.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum concepts.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite: Confluence, Jira, Advanced Roadmaps.
• University degree in computer science or related field.
• Advanced English communication with clients outside Quebec.

Job description

As a Senior Scrum Master, you’ll be at the heart of our Agile approach, playing an essential role in ensuring the efficiency and cohesion of our teams. You’ll be responsible for creating an atmosphere of collaboration and facilitating communication between all team members. Your expertise will guide teams toward achieving their goals by adopting Scrum best practices and fostering a motivating work environment.

Facilitate Scrum events and relationships between different stakeholders;

Accompany and support the team and stakeholders to improve ways of working and gain maturity;

Contribute to the organization of the team to improve its performance and maturity, reduce wasted time and simplify its execution;

Create a work environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, creativity, a nd recognition of team members' achievements;

Expose the team to best development practices;

Support the Product Owner (PO) in their practice and development, as well as in establishing, prioritizing, and updating the product backlog to ensure the successful delivery of the team's initiatives and roadmap;

Participate in the continuous improvement of Agile practices;

Support the evolution of agility within the organization;

Actively facilitate sprint execution by monitoring progress, following up on action items and impediments, and ensuring accurate updates in Atlassian Suite and other delivery management tools;

Identify, track, and actively remove impediments, escalating when resolution falls outside the team's control.

Keys to your success

Scrum certifications or other relevant certifications;

Minimum 5 years of experience in the technology field, including 3 years as a Scrum Master;

Proven experience managing multiple teams;

Experience participating in large-scale deliveries involving integrated planning of multiple products or teams;

Mastery of Scrum concepts;

Knowledge of Atlassian Suite tools, including Confluence, Jira, and Advanced Roadmaps.

University degree in computer science or a related field.

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, an advanced level of English is required, in particular to communicate regularly with clients outside of Quebec.
