Job summary

Vancouver College in Vancouver, BC, seeks a dedicated full-time Physics teacher to deliver Physics 11, Physics 12 and AP Physics. You will work cooperatively with colleagues across the school and participate fully in student learning and co-curricular activities beyond the regular day.

The successful candidate will have a strong command of differentiated instruction for an all-boys setting, a solid grasp of current pedagogy and technology-enhanced assessment, and a willingness to coach.

• Certificate of Qualification issued by the BC Ministry of Education

• Maternity Leave Position (12 months January 2027- December 2027)

Specific Duties

• Teaching Senior School Physics Courses (Physics 11, Physics 12, AP Physics).
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues within and across the school
• Full Participation in student learning and co‑curricular activities outside of the school day
• Strong working understanding of differentiated instruction as it applies to teaching in an all‑boys school
• Strong working knowledge of current pedagogy, sound assessment practices and learning empowered by technology

Extra‑Curricular

• Experience or willingness to coach will be prioritized
• Demonstrated commitment to co‑curricular endeavours is an expectation.

Priority Consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following

Salary Range: $64,171-$115,200, dependent on experience and qualifications
