Vancouver Christian School, a diverse K-12 independent school in Vancouver, BC, invites applications for a High School Senior Math Teacher on a 1.0 FTE maternity leave position from November 1, 2026 to October 31, 2027, with potential to continue.

The successful candidate will teach Senior Math courses (Math 10, Pre-calculus 11, 12, Calculus 12) and contribute to a faith-integrated BC curriculum, while supporting student growth in academics, faith, and character.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Education.
• Experience teaching senior-level math courses (such as Calculus 12) and science courses is an asset.
• Differentiated instruction as it applies to teaching.
• Knowledge of current pedagogy, assessment practices and technology-enhanced learning.
• Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the BC Ministry of Education.
• Familiar with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum.

We have an exciting opportunity for an educator experienced in teaching Senior Math (Math 10, Pre-calculus 11, 12, Calculus 12)

• Specific duties: work cooperatively with colleagues within his/her department and across the school; participate fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day; may also be called on to teach additional courses

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Education
• Experience teaching senior-level math courses (such as Calculus 12) and science courses is an asset
• Strong working understanding of differentiated instruction as it applies to teaching
• Strong working knowledge of current pedagogy, sound assessment practices and learning empowered by technology
• Must have a certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the BC Ministry of Education
• Is familiar with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum

Annual salary range

$61,950 to $110,641 per school year (dependent on education, qualifications and experience; pro-rated for part-time teachers)
