Job summary

ProTrans BC Operations Ltd., a subsidiary of AtkinsRéalis, seeks a Senior Scheduler in Richmond, BC to support Canada Line operations. You will oversee scheduling staff, provide strategic guidance, and coordinate staffing across shifts, holidays, and special projects to ensure safe and reliable service.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in workforce scheduling, experience in a 24/7 environment, and strong knowledge of union rules and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive workforce scheduling experience.
• Experience scheduling shifts for 200+ employees in a complex operations setting.
• Experience in a 24/7, multi-shift environment with staffing continuity.
• Proficiency with Kronos/UKG scheduling systems, reporting and optimization.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills for workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual scheduling objectives and oversee the Scheduling Team.
• Provide strategic scheduling advice to leaders and client groups.
• Lead annual shift, vacation, and holiday bidding processes.
• Create workforce schedules for special projects and service changes.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, and staffing levels; identify efficiency gains.
• Maintain accurate scheduling data in HR and scheduling systems.
