Job description

Our Calgary-based global client requires a Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant for an initial 1-year contract to support an exciting and complex S/4HANA implementation and rollout. Are you up to the challenge?

Start Date: May 5, 2025

End Date: May 4, 2026

Location: Calgary / Hybrid. Open to CAN-based consultants, must be able to travel 1-2 weeks per month to spend 3-4 days on site.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of practical experience in SAP functional solution design and delivery.
• Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized university or technical school in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in various sub-modules of S/4HANA FICO with integration with SD, MM, & PP. Hands-on experience in Product Costing with Material Ledger and Project Systems in MTO scenarios is required. FSCM experience is a bonus.
• Understanding of RICEFWs, requirements gathering, preparing functional specifications, and debugging code for quick turnaround.
• Experience with OneSource tax solution is preferred.
• Understanding of the Acquire to Retire process in SAP and all integration points from Record to Report perspective.
• Experience coordinating with banks for AR & AP payment/collection automation solutions and EBS processing.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance validations and substitutions.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills to influence and facilitate resolution of business issues.
• History of designing complex SAP solutions to enable unique business processes.
• Experience in SAP development estimation and best practices in solution delivery.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Willingness to learn, teach, and share information with teammates, peers, management, and users.
• Able to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Responsible for architecting and designing SAP solutions to meet specific business requirements and ensuring design integrity through to implementation.
• Work with system integrators to ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements, achieve high system integration, follow SAP best practices, and enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop SAP solutions that meet business objectives.
• Determine the best approach to develop and deliver functionality from financial, architectural, and operational perspectives.
• Define functional requirements, document configuration rationale, and validate development estimates.
• Own the solution design and oversee development to ensure it meets business needs.
• Define and execute test plans, review outcomes, and validate solutions.
• Assist managed service teams with escalated incidents and recommend appropriate actions.
