Reporting to the General Manager of the hotel, the Senior Sales Manager will contribute to the overall success of the company by providing superior customer service and selling products and/or services that maximize revenues as identified in Coast Hotels Strategic Plan. This role provides the successful candidate an opportunity to make an impact at one of the newest properties in the Coast Hotels portfolio.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform specialized duties related to Sales, such as acting as a key contact with clients, qualifying business, promoting Coast's products, assisting with sales campaigns, participating in trade-shows, and developing cross-property sales opportunities.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of quotes, contracts, reports, and client correspondence, maintaining detailed client records.
  3. Attend industry events and conferences to maintain knowledge and network with peers.
  4. Participate in site inspections, client appointments, and events to increase market share.
  5. Understand operational issues, forecast needs, and implement sales processes and policies aligned with strategic goals.
  6. Adhere to budgets and prioritize resources effectively.
  7. Communicate company policies, set clear objectives, and monitor standards.
  8. Follow up on inquiries related to sales functions.
  9. Demonstrate excellent customer service, addressing guest needs proactively and exceeding expectations.
  10. Resolve issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
  11. Liaise with other departments as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as required.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  1. Secondary school diploma.
  2. 3-5 years of related sales experience, with 1 year in hotel sales preferred.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Attention to detail and professional appearance.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  6. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  7. Experience with conflict resolution and second language skills are assets.
  8. Experience in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments.
  9. Knowledge of Infor HMS and SCS is a plus.
