PosiTrace is a founder-led SaaS company delivering GPS fleet tracking, AI dash cameras, and asset management solutions. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Ruby on Rails to evolve our production SaaS platform.

You will design, develop, and improve backend and frontend components with Rails, Angular, and TypeScript, collaborating with Product and Engineering to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. This hands-on role emphasizes ownership, architecture input, and contributing to technical

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Ruby on Rails expertise and production SaaS/web app experience.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Strong SQL skills with MySQL.
• Experience with Angular and TypeScript or comparable frontend tech.
• Strong testing discipline with TDD/RSpec.
• Experience with scalable, cloud-based production systems.
• Clear written and spoken English; excellent collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production Ruby on Rails applications.
• Build scalable backend services and web applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations.
• Optimize database performance with MySQL.
• Develop frontend features using Angular and TypeScript.
• Apply automated testing and TDD practices (RSpec).
• Contribute to architecture decisions for scalability and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and identify refactoring opportunities.
• Support deployments, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate requirements into solutions.
