Job description

Senior Risk/Compliance Specialist (BBBH10845) Toronto, Canada

Responsibilities:

1. Perform quality assurance on technology submittals from partners and track them.
2. Support the movement of submittals through the review process.
3. Ensure strict document control in Aconnex, Unifier, and SharePoint/OneDrive folders following policies including document retention.
4. Review and provide feedback in collaboration with the Assurance team to partners on workstream submittals.
5. Follow project and program processes including Executive Briefing Notes (EBNs) for decision-making.
6. Maintain a registry of non-compliances in SharePoint List.
7. Work closely with Business leads who perform technical reviews and track their feedback.
8. Provide deep knowledge and insights into the Project Agreement (PA) with the partners.
9. Compare deliverables with requirements from the PA and identify any gaps.
10. Provide timely feedback on deliverables, submittals, and progress on project activities.
11. Advise senior leadership related to aspects of the PA.
12. Participate in weekly project status reporting.
13. Build relationships between business and partners.
14. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the submittal process.
15. Oversee and administer the certification process.

General Skills:

1. Experience interpreting requirements from standards and translating them into actionable implementations.
2. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, control mappings, and scoping.
3. Familiarity with a broad range of technical concepts: logical access control, agile development process, secure coding principles, security architecture, information security, network security, and privacy.
4. Expertise in gap analysis, remediation, control design, and risk assessments.
5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) tools is a plus.

Contract Details:
3 month contract, hybrid, on-site 2 days per week downtown Toronto.
