Job summary

CareTech, Lavender home, is seeking a Team Leader to support children with daily routines, meals, activities and ensure shifts run smoothly. You will supervise staff, monitor care plans and create a warm home environment.

Requirements include 1+ year in children's residential, Level 3/4 qualification, UK driving licence, and strong communication skills. Training on digital systems will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar role within children's residential
  • Level 3/4 qualification in Children's Residential or Children’s Workforce
  • Manual UK driving licence is essential
  • Experience of supporting team members
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to cover shifts flexibly

Responsibilities

£41,346 per annum. This includes payments for an average of just 8 sleep-ins per month

What You’ll Do

As a Team Leader you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also be tasked with ensuring all support workers are completing their duties to the best of their abilities and that the shift runs smoothly.

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.

We have a purpose built sensory room, a home gym and well being suite. Each child will have access to communal spaces within the home, and their own en-suite bedroom, which we encourage them to personalise to their tastes. We also have the opportunity to partner up with a local holding farm, where children can help care for the animals and take horse riding lessons or walk the donkeys around the land.
