Job summary

Fairstone Bank is seeking a Senior Representative, Collections to join our team. You will work with past-due auto loan accounts, negotiate payment plans, and document all interactions in our collections system.

You should bring strong verbal and written communication, proficiency with MS Office/Outlook, and experience with skip tracing and understanding credit bureaus. A minimum of 1 year in high-risk auto financing is required.

Work toward individual collection targets and team goals.
Fulfill other collection duties as assigned.

About The Role

Provide excellent service while ensuring exceptional results in the collection of financial loans.
Contact past due customers through the appropriate channeling methods, request and negotiate payment arrangements within authorized limits, and send correspondence to collection customers.
Use company-specific policies and procedures to maintain and coordinate firm payment recovery.
Assess and mitigate risk by referring accounts for further action.
Document all call activity details in the Collections system to reflect any action taken, e.g., commitments to pay and/or amounts and dates agreed upon.
Achieve individual collection targets to meet Department and Company-wide goals.
Complete other collection responsibilities, as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You are tech-savvy and know your way through Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
You are experienced with skip tracing and familiar with using 411, social media, and the ability to understand credit bureaus.
You have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with high-risk accounts in the auto financing industry.

EXTRA- AWESOME TO HAVE!

Post-secondary education in Business Administration or any other relevant studies.
You have demonstrated work experience with sub-prime consumers.
You speak French!

What You Can Expect - Pay & Process

Expected base salary range is $44,362.50 - $50,000.00.
