Hatch is seeking a Senior Engineer, Renewable Power to join the eGRID team in Mississauga, Ontario. You will lead utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects, coordinating with global teams and delivering technically robust solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years in engineering and 2+ years in renewables, with a professional engineer license or the ability to obtain one within a year. The position offers growth in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Licensed professional engineer (or ability to get a license in less than 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Lead utility scale renewable energy project delivery as the project manager, project engineer, or subject matter expert.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Work closely with other subject matter experts in solar, wind, energy storage, microgrids, system studies, controls, transmission and distribution.
• Write technical papers and present at conferences to demonstrate expertise in the field and engage clients.
• Conduct site visits, factory visits, field assessments and client engagement meetings.
