Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Orillia, Ontario. This permanent part-time role involves implementing exercise and education programs for seniors, focusing on mobility, balance, and fall prevention.

Location includes Leacock Retirement and LTC in Orillia and Georgian Manor in Penetanguishene. The 36-hour work week supports ongoing education and program development within a supportive Lifemark environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Kinesiology or related post-secondary education.
• Experience with seniors & group programming is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Implement exercise and education programs for seniors focusing on mobility, pain relief, strength, and balance.
• Provide a consistent approach to prevent falls, reduce injuries, and improve independence and quality of life.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports and basic metrics on participants.
• Monitor residents while using equipment and ensure infection control practices.
• Support and participate in development and implementation of programs and objectives.
• Accurately collect data for reporting.
• Participate in ongoing education of residents within program scope.
