Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Rail & Transit to lead planning, coordination, design management, and delivery of complex rail and transit infrastructure projects in Canada. You will drive multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, transit agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in rail, transit or transportation infrastructure.
• Experience managing complex multidisciplinary rail/transit projects.
• Strong PM knowledge: scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, procurement, and change control.
• Experience coordinating with public-sector clients and agencies.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including client-facing presentations.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6.
• P.Eng. designation in Canada, or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage rail and transit projects through planning, design, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and close-out.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, architectural, systems, and environmental.
• Serve as primary contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
• Ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate design reviews and technical submissions.
• Monitor performance: schedule, budget, invoicing, risk mitigation and KPIs.
• Prepare status reports, proposals, and executive updates.
• Lead client meetings and coordination workshops.
• Support business development with proposals and client presentations.
• Promote health, safety, quality, and environmental culture.
• Mentor junior engineers and project team members.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and contract requirements.
