Job summary

Adastra is seeking a Lead QuickSight Developer to support CPPIB’s Data Enablement & AI Pod. The role will focus on administration, automation, governance, and integration of the Amazon QuickSight platform, with emphasis on building scalable and secure data visualization infrastructure rather than dashboard development. Primary Location: New York City, NY / Toronto, ON.

Work Model: Hybrid 3-Days Onsite. Employment Type: Contractor.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience administering and automating the Amazon QuickSight platform.
  • Strong experience with Amazon QuickSight APIs, SDKs, and boto3.
  • Deep understanding of SPICE, including incremental and event-driven refresh and capacity management.
  • Experience automating QuickSight dataset provisioning and governance.
  • Strong experience implementing and automating Row-Level Security (RLS) and Column-Level Security (CLS).
  • Experience managing QuickSight namespaces, users, subscriptions, and user lifecycle processes.
  • Hands-on experience integrating QuickSight with AWS Lake Formation.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and data governance concepts.
  • Experience developing automation and repeatable processes for enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise data and analytics environments.

Responsibilities

Overview

Adastra is seeking a Lead QuickSight Developer to support CPPIB’s Data Enablement & AI Pod. This role will focus on the administration, automation, governance, and integration of the Amazon QuickSight platform, with an emphasis on building scalable and secure data visualization infrastructure rather than dashboard development. The successful candidate will bring strong hands‑on expertise with QuickSight APIs, SDKs, boto3, SPICE, dataset provisioning, security automation, and AWS data services to enable reliable and governed analytics capabilities.

Primary Location: New York City, NY / Toronto, ON

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer and automate the Amazon QuickSight platform using APIs, SDKs, and boto3
  • Design and implement automated QuickSight dataset provisioning and governance processes

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
