Job summary

TMX Group is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join a fast-paced Agile squad working on the TMX Trading System. You will design and execute automated test scenarios for both technical and trading products, ensuring functional, integration, and performance quality.

Based in Montreal with a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office), you will collaborate with Developers, BAs, Architects, Product Owners, and a Scrum Master to evolve digital products and maintain high-quality software across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in computer science/engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years in all functions of system testing.
• Minimum 2+ years in software development and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Strong Python automation and scripting skills.
• Experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with automation design and scripting.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst , you will join a fast-paced Agile squad-collaborating alongside Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, and a Scrum Master-focused on transforming our platforms into industry-leading digital products and evolving TMX's Trading System.

In this role, you will:

• Drive Automation: Design, script, and execute automated test scenarios covering both technical and trading-related topics.
• Ensure Quality: Maintain and improve software solutions for functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with the development team to ensure products meet the highest quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Location: This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Montreal, QC.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, develop and maintain automation framework/software solutions
• Establish and participate in a quality assurance culture that is based on user satisfaction and continuous improvement
• Identify and evaluate the risks related to the quality of applications
• Able to convert business requirements into test cases and test scenarios
• Manage and set up test environments
• Recommend innovative ideas to automate and reduce manual QA efforts
• Coordinate and perform all testing activities in the software development process
• Work with Regular Expressions
• Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test automation is promoted and applied effectively in the squad
• Research tools, methods, and technology trends to support test automation objectives

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Automation design and scripting skills
• Strong development skills with Python
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Experience with Tools such as JIRA, TestRail
• Languages: Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for this position, as it involves producing documentation for external and internal stakeholders who communicate in both languages.

• Previous experience in Financial Services and/or Capital Markets Industry
• Advanced knowledge of trading applications and FIX Protocol
