Job summary

MBI Brands is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Construction to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of restaurant construction projects across Canada for Mary Brown’s Chicken and Fat Bastard Burrito. You will manage end-to-end lifecycle from site approval to grand opening, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and brand standards are met.

You will mentor team members, coordinate with franchise partners, landlords, and internal teams, and drive continuous improvement in delivery and cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of progressive project management experience in QSR, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or similar multi-unit construction.
• Experience independently managing multiple concurrent projects (ground-up, pad sites, conversions, drive-thru, renovations).
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field.
• PMP designation preferred; equivalent demonstrated PM experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling, budgeting, permitting, risk management, and project closeout.
• Ability to read, interpret and review architectural, engineering, and shop drawings.
• Willingness to travel across Canada; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple restaurant development and construction projects from site approval through grand opening and closeout.
• Develop schedules, budgets, risk assessments, milestones, and forecasts.
• Coordinate franchisees, landlords, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review drawings, permits, and specifications for accuracy and constructability; manage tendering.
• Oversee tender packages, bids, negotiation, and awarding of contracts; monitor cost control.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities to project team.
