Job summary

MBI Brands is seeking an Operations Systems Specialist to oversee the integrity of restaurant I.T. systems, including POS, inventory, and menu management across Mary Brown’s and Fat Bastard Burrito. You’ll ensure pricing accuracy, recipe updates, and alignment with company goals.

Collaborate with marketing, culinary, finance, and operations to optimize food cost reporting and maintain regulatory compliance. Lead training for managers and staff on system updates and data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or College diploma in business, IT, or related field, or equivalent related work experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant operations, menu management, or culinary cost control.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, inventory management, menu pricing tools).
• Strong analytical skills for food cost and menu performance data.
• Knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills to train and support staff across locations.

Responsibilities

• Update and manage menu pricing, product details, and descriptions in Mary Brown’s & Fat Bastard Burrito systems.
• Coordinate seasonal and promotional menu changes across locations.
• Ensure menu updates are reflected in POS, online ordering, and delivery apps.
• Support testing and implementation of new restaurant and enterprise level systems.
• Maintain and update food cost systems and COGS reporting with vendor pricing checks.
• Collaborate with finance to optimize food cost reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain a centralized recipe database with accurate ingredients and quantities.
• Partner with culinary teams to document new recipes and ensure consistency in preparation standards.
• Train restaurant managers and kitchen staff on system updates, menu management and food cost reporting tools.
• Ensure data complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
